Medications

This is generally about the more common medications that are being used in hospitals. I will try to include the use(s) of the medication, its mode of action, its side effects, how long does the drug take to affect the body and how long the effects of the drug lasts.

Note: When being prescribed a medication, tell your doctor and pharmacist if you are:

• Allergic to any medications
• Taking other prescribed and non-prescribed medications, additional health supplements, vitamins and other herbal products
• Planning to become pregnant, pregnant, or breast-feeding
